Answer

To locate the full text of a thesis/dissertation, you will want to search the ProQuest Dissertations & Theses Global database.

Begin at the library homepage, locate the “Databases (search for articles)” area at the bottom of the page.

From the "Search Databases by..." drop-down menu, choose "Title." Locate the “ProQuest Dissertations & Theses Global - ProQuest” and click on the hyperlink. You will be prompted to enter your Chapman or Brandman username and password.

Searching for a Thesis/Dissertation Published by a Specific Institution

If you are searching for a thesis or dissertation published by a specific institution, you will need to include additional limiters. First of all, in the “More search options” section, you can add the name of an institution or use the “Look up Universities/institutions” feature.

You will also need to add the “Manuscript type” limiter. You can “Select all,” select “Master’s theses,” or select “Doctoral dissertations.”

Remember, you can also add keywords or subject headings to refine the results. If you need further assistance, please ask a librarian.
