Answer

It is possible to request items that are archival or in special collections, but it really depends on the nature of the item and the policies of the library that houses the material. It is rare that we are able to physically borrow these types of items, but some libraries are willing to make copies for us. The first step is to make an ILL request for this item as an Article Request through our ILLiad system, and we will see what we can do. It is possible the library may have a digital collection.
