Q. How do I check out books?
Thanks or contacting us. I'll be happy to assist you. Depending on what format of book you are trying to check out, you shouldn't need to "save" anything. If you are trying to check a physical item (such as a print book) out of the library, you would submit a request through a program called ILLiad. Once you submit this request, we will either pull the book form our collection or locate it from another library before sending it to you (with a return envelope) free of charge.
Visit this page to create or activate your ILLiad account: http://www1.chapman.edu/library/centers/borrowing.html
For more infromation on ILLiad and submitting requests, visit the Brandman Library Guide: http://chapman.libguides.com/brandman_university/borrow_items
Of course, there are other types of books. You can always find eBooks using the library website, which you can read online. There are also hundreds of millions of research articles and journals, which can also be found using the library website. for more information on this, visit the Brandman Library Guide i linked to above and click on the "How to find articles" link.
I hope that this helpful, Enrique. If you have any other questions, please don't hesitate tot onctact us again. The contact for your Brandman Librarians can be found on this page: http://www1.chapman.edu/library/centers/. Either one of us would be happy to help.
