How do I find journal or magazine articles on a specific subject?
Answer
Here are two ways to find articles on specific subjects starting on the Leatherby Libraries' home page:
Use the Start Your Search search box:
• On the library's home page, scroll down to the search box under Start your Search and click Advanced Search.
• Type keywords related to your subject into the search boxes and click Search.
• Add synonym keywords to broaden your search using the OR Boolean Operator.
• Add more specific keywords to narrow your search using the AND Boolean Operator.
• Use filters below the search box to narrow down search results.
Search within a database:
• On the library's home page, scroll down to Search databases by title or subject section and click on the A-Z List.
• Select a subject related to your subject using the drop down menu option and click search.
• Select a database from the Best Bets! list. You may be prompted to login using your Chapman credentials (username and password).
• Inside a database, type keywords related to your topic into the search boxes and click Search.
• Most databases have filters on the left side that are useful to narrow down search results.
